What is CELPIP?

The CELPIP-General Test is a complete English language test that assesses general levels of functional competency. The test is completely computer-delivered and consists of the following components:

• Listening
• Speaking
• General Reading and Writing

The CELPIP-General Test uses Canadian English, as opposed to other varieties of English that are used on similar exams.

CELPIP 4 WEEK Preparation Course

The CELPIP preparation course is designed to prepare individuals to achieve the best possible score in the four language skills on the CELPIP General Test. The content is designed to be sequential, to mirror CELPIP’s Key Features for each skill question type addressed in its Study Guide, and cumulative, to focus on grammar, vocabulary, pronunciation and to explain how to integrate knowledge with test taking strategies that include time limitations. The Instruction breaks down each section of the test by scaffolding language instruction to explain form, function, and use through examples, practice, and tips for higher-order thinking and test strategies. The Assessments include repetitive practice and cognitive awareness of both language and test preparedness. By the end of the course, clients will demonstrate accumulated language awareness and personal strategies to confidently express their skills during the computerized CELPIP-General test.
